find it. snap it. cuse it. is a series of Syracuse city-wide scavenger hunts and races Saturdays in the month of June. Each hunt begins at 12 noon with registration opening at 11:15 am. For details about each of the three events, see the information below.
find it.
What it is: A traditional scavenger hunt in which your team of up to 5 members will be given a list of items to find in the city of Syracuse and a set of rules. Try to find as many items on the list in the given amount of time as you can. Then return to the starting point of your hunt at the Chamber of Commerce with your found items. The top-scoring teams will receive a prize.
When it is: Saturday, June 13, 2009. registration opens at 11:15 and event begins at noon.
Where it is: registration and starting point is located at the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce in downtown Syracuse. 572 S. Salina St. Street parking is free, and additional limited free parking is located behind the building in the lot off of Clinton St.
This event is FREE.

What it is: as a team of up to 5, you'll grab your camera, be given an extensive list of locations across Syracuse, and be set loose on the city to photograph your team in as many of the locations as you can within the set time limit. You receive points for each photo depending upon its difficulty to find and photograph. The top-scoring teams will receive a prize.
When it is: Saturday, June 20, 2009. registration opens at 11:15 and event begins at noon.

This event is FREE.

What it is: as a team of up to 5, you will be unleashed with a single clue and an associated task. The task sometimes results in assistance with the clue, and sometimes requires you to accomplish something in order to receive the next one. Each clue will lead you to a new location where you find your next clue card until you ultimately end up at the finish line. This is a race among all participating teams, with the first team crossing the finish line receiving a $1,000 cash prize. Runners-up will also receive prizes.
When it is: Saturday, June 27, 2009. registration opens at 11:15 and event begins at noon.
Where it is: registration and starting point is located at the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce in downtown Syracuse. 572 S. Salina St. Street parking is free, and additional limited free parking is located behind the building in the lot off of Clinton St.
This event has a registration fee of $50 per team. If you sign up in advance by emailing finditsnapitcuseit@gmail.com, your registration fee will be reduced to $40 per team.
